About the Gathering

For those of you in the NY/NJ/CT/PA/DE vicinity:

It's time for another get together!

Digital Press, VGWIZ and Video Game Connections are hosting the North Atlantic Videogame Aficionados (NAVA) meeting, which has been running in the central NJ area since 1995. This event has subsequently grown to become the center of activity among classic videogame enthusiasts in the Tri-State region.

The next gathering has been scheduled for
SATURDAY, APRIL 3RD, 2004 at 3:00 PM.

There are always lots of games for trade and sale, and everyone is invited to bring carts/systems for those purposes, as well as to show off really neat stuff.

Highlights:

• Classic console systems will be set-up and available for playing.

• Rare and prototype items for show.

• Leonard Herman - Author of Phoenix: The Fall and Rise of Home Videogames and ABC to the VCS. A great storyteller.

• John Dondzila - Author of several Vectrex games, two ColecoVision games and an Odyssey 2 game.

• Al Backiel - Senior Writer for Digital Press and owner of one of the greatest Atari 2600 collections on the planet!

• Dan Boris - Author of Virtual VCS (2600 emulator), Virtual SuperSystem (5200 emulator), and the first Odyssey 2 emulator!

• Avraham Tuvy - Co Owner of VGWIZ.com, designer of the new Atari 2600 plastic case.

Best of all, there's no admission fee!

From the North via the Garden State Parkway:

Take GARDEN STATE PKY EXPRESS LN South toward EXPRESS/ EXITS 117- 105/ASBURY PARK/ SOUTH JERSEY.
Take the RT-36 exit- exit number 105- toward RT-35/ EATONTOWN/ LONG BRANCH.
Merge onto NJ-36 E.
Turn RIGHT onto CR-51/ HOPE RD.
Merge onto NJ-18 S toward PT. PLEASANT.
Merge onto W PARK AVE via exit number 12A toward OAKHURST.
Go straight about half of a mile and cross Highway 35.
Pass the Louise Weltz Park on the left side and make a left into the parking lot of the Ocean Township Recreation Center.

From the South via the Garden State Parkway:

Take GARDEN STATE PKWY North
Merge onto NJ-66 E via exit number 100A toward ASBURY PARK. 2.78 miles
Merge onto NJ-18 N toward EATONTOWN. 1.65 miles
Take the DEAL RD. EAST exit- exit number 11A. 0.15 miles
Merge onto DEAL RD. 0.24 miles
Turn LEFT onto POPLAR RD. 0.78 miles
Turn RIGHT onto W PARK AVE. 0.88 miles
Go straight about half of a mile and cross Highway 35.
Pass the Louise Weltz Park on the left side and make a left into the parking lot of the Ocean Township Recreation Center.
